CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER - The Frozen Visions of Adirondack Ice

Sat, 9 Feb, 2013 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Through the medium of ice, a familiar and intriguing compound found throughout the universe, and the delicate application of the principles of polarized light, Dr. Wasilewski has developed a novel art form known as FRIZION (frozen vision). The visual magic emerges as water begins to freeze and this frozen canvas is painted by the thickness and shape of ice crystals bathed in light. Dr. Wasilewski will illustrate and illuminate the magical colors contained in ice. He will not only present the FRIZIONS but will illustrate the magical colors of ice in Adirondack lakes, the icicles and of course the ice rinks at the Lake Placid Olympic Center.
